Our Impact

At Uplift Youth Organisation (UYO), our impact focuses on empowering young people with practical skills, opportunities, and support that enable them to improve their livelihoods and contribute positively to their communities.

Since its establishment in 2018 and registration with the Kanungu District Local Government, UYO has worked closely with local communities to address key challenges affecting youth such as unemployment, limited access to vocational training, and lack of economic opportunities.

Through community-based programs, the organisation has helped young people gain hands-on vocational skills in areas such as carpentry, tailoring, and hairdressing. These initiatives provide practical pathways for youth to start small businesses, find employment, and build sustainable sources of income.

UYO also promotes youth participation, leadership, and community development by encouraging young people to take active roles in improving their communities. By supporting skills development and self-reliance, the organisation continues to uplift the lives of young people and strengthen communities across the region.
